My Story

Born into a multi-generational family of musicians, I was exposed to classical, jazz, bluegrass, and rock music at a very early age. I began studying classical piano in private lessons at the age of six, and simultaneously explored playing the piano by ear, which led to an interest in jazz and musical improvisation. The more I dove into music with curiosity and wonder, the more I found the joy in creating something beautiful.

Through my adolescent years, I experimented with music by writing songs and learning new instruments like the guitar, bass, drums, singing, trumpet, and accordion. Playing music was a unique and personal means of creative output for me; however, listening to music was just as significant to my musical formation as playing. By critically listening to a broad range of genres, I discovered a curiosity about how music was arranged and captured in a recording studio. This journey led me to pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Sound Engineering from IU Southeast. And through this line of work, I became a music producer, working with grammy winning artists and producers in studios in New York.

Though my musical journey has taken me many places and allowed me to have many experiences - both beautiful ones and challenging ones - I ultimately have found that helping others to realize their musical gifts brings me the same joy as when I first discovered the wonder of music as a child.
